Saddle Adjustment

On my ride to school today I realized my seatpost had slipped a little bit.

A while later, while I was stopped I decided to fix my saddle right real quick.

I grabbed my multi-tool out of my seat pack and this is what I found:

Not cool, eh?

It was -15F at the time (-26.1 for those of you who prefer that superior system).

Fortunately it was just a minor saddle adjustment and I could live without fixing it.

Had I needed the tool for something more significant I might have been a little annoyed.

  1. My Crank Bros tool has been doing this for a long time, and I have repaired it several times with different washers. Still, it rattled into 20 pieces the other day in my frame bag. Bummer.

  2. Not the first time its happened for me either. It has always struck me as funny that you have to use two other allen wrenches to keep your set of allen wrenches from falling apart.
